CRAWFORD PUSHES FOR DRYMEN AND CRIANLARICH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR TOWN CENTRE REGENERATION FUNDING |

Bruce Crawford, MSP for the Stirling constituency, has written to the Minister for Housing to push for Drymen and Crianlarich to be considered as towns that qualify for the Town Centre Regeneration Fund. Under the current criteria, neither is listed as a town that qualifies. Commenting, Mr. Crawford said: “I am concerned that as things stand, neither Drymen nor Crianlarich are being considered for funding through the Town Centre Regeneration Fund because they are not considered towns. This appears odd given that places of similar size such as Tyndrum are being considered. |

RECORD NUMBER OF POLICE ON SCOTLAND’S STREETS |

MORE POLICE MAKES SCOTLAND SAFER Bruce Crawford, MSP for the Stirling constituency, has welcomed the latest official statistics showing that the Scottish Government is making Scotland safer with a record number of police officers on Scotland’s streets. There are now 17,048 full-time equivalent police officers on Scotland’s streets – the highest level ever recorded. This number is a 2.2% increase since the previous quarter and an even greater increase of 5% since March 2007. CRAWFORD WELCOMES SNP ELECTION VICTORY IN STIRLING |

Bruce Crawford, MSP for the Stirling constituency, has welcomed the strong showing by the SNP in Stirling in Thursday’s European Parliamentary Elections. The SNP won the Stirling poll by six percentage points. Commenting, Mr. Crawford said: ‘I am delighted that the SNP has won such a resounding victory in Stirling, convincingly beating the Tories by six percentage points, and leaving Labour miles behind in third.
